Students from Paterson and Ridgewood met four times in 2006 renewing a program that had long
been forgotten. The program hoped to expose the students to a diferent enviroment than the one they were used to. Through
mixed groups the students discuss curriculum as well as getting to know each other.
As the program continues to grow the students learn not only from teachers but from each other.
In just the short amount of time these students gathered together friendships were formed and sterotypes were disproven.
Programs like this one encourage learning as well as confidence, respect and acceptence in
not only others but in yourself.
While we are not he first we will most certainly not be the last group to feel the effects
of this program.
